I picked up a French antisemitic book entitled I Hate You. On the cover is the former premier of France, Léon Blum, a Jew. When he was in the Chamber of Deputies, the delegates, many of the antisemitic ones, insulted Blum mercilessly. He turned around one day and yelled at them, “I hate you.” And so the French Fascists picked up that statement and turned it against the Jews.
